This is book 2 in "The Sister Circle" series. Though it started out a little slower than the first book I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first one. Evelyn again finds herself with 3 empty rooms at the Peerbaugh Place boarding house. All 3 rooms do become occupied but only 2 with new ladies. One room becomes a refuge for an original sister who never lived there but needs to now for a bit ,is the plan. The original sisters are still around and very much connected to each other though 2 of them are occupied elsewhere so they're not heard from much in this book. The two new ladies personalities are different than the original tenants and they bring their own sets of quirks and problems as well as secrets. God continues to use the "sisters" in each others lives as well as helping the new ladies to realize there might be something they'd like to be a part of.Each chapter has a scripture at the beginning of it as well as scattered throughout the book. But there is nothing preachy about it. I'd recommend this book to others as a family friendly, faith based book with real life scenarios in it. I just purchased book 3 in the series and look forward to reading it.

Good read. I'm really enjoying this series. I'm looking forward to the next three books. . I love the WORD shared and the romance.. and sometimes I laugh out loud. Mae my favorite side.
Loved this series and the characters therein. A fabulous read about gals who begin as strangers winding up close and like sisters. Couldn't put any of these books down. Highly recommend this series.
I enjoyed this book just as much as the first one. It is simply written but the spiritual lesson pack a big punch. I'm reminded about forgiveness and faith when reading. I also thought deeply about the brevity of life that is discussed. We must make every minute count for good.
This whole series is beautifully written & has been a blessing to me. I especially like the scripture references preceding each chapter & contained within the chapters. My only negative is that all the characters succumb to God & become saved. While I know I serve a powerful God who is mighty to save, this struck me as a little far fetched in real life. Sometimes a person's giving in & accepting Christ can take years. I have recommended this series & will continue to do so. We need more God based wholesome books on the market. Imagine reading a book with not one swear word or sexual reference explicit or otherwise !!!!

This second book of the Sister Circle series continues the saga of Evelyn, recent widow who opens her home as a boarding house in order to have an income after her husband leaves her with barely enough money to bury him. New occupants bring new secrets and varying personalities, yet we keep up with the original occupants as well. Actually a well done job of handling so many characters.
